Every Combination Is Carefully Considered

There's no such thing as a perfect pairing, but every breeding decision should be justifiable. The parents must complement one another and highlight each other's strengths. Temperaments must also be a good match, and hereditary issues—because every dog has some—must be thoughtfully weighed. All of our breeding dogs are health tested, and you can find detailed information about each dog and combinations on their individual pages.

We do not use a waiting list or reservation system. I prefer to meet each family in person before making any agreements. It's also a great opportunity to get to know one of the puppy's parents.

Please Tell Me About Yourself When Reaching Out

If you're interested in a puppy, I'd like you to share a bit about yourself—your current life situation and your experience with dogs. A strong breeder-home relationship is important to me, and I want to stay in touch throughout the dog's life to hear how my puppies are doing in different stages. I also expect all my puppies to be officially health tested in adulthood.

Why Akita? Have you taken the time to learn about the breed, and ideally met Akitas in person? We attend dog shows regularly—feel free to come say hello ringside!

What Are Your Plans With the Dog? Akitas are versatile, but their independent nature and size mean they're not the right fit for everyone. What are your future goals and hopes with your dog?

Laniorum-puppies are:

✔️ Puppies Are Released at a Minimum of 8 Weeks of Age

✔️  Registered with the Finnish Kennel Club and the Finnish Food Authority (Ruokavirasto)

✔️ Dewormed, microchipped, and vet-checked

Puppy leaves with:

✔️ Comprehensive puppy package, including supplies and familiar food for the puppy

✔️ Written instructions and a puppy guide

✔️ One-year membership to Akita Ry

✔️ Lifetime breeder support

I am happy to be involved and offer support in starting your dog show hobby, and I expect that my puppies will be health tested.

✔️ Compensation for official health tests when the dog undergoes extensive testing (official hip-elbow-spine X-rays, knee examination, and eye examination) by the age of three.

✔️ Compensation for obtaining the Finnish Champion and Finnish Junior Champion titles.
